I finally added some new stuff to my etsy shop and ebay auctions. I'm currently working on a million things. I started a step stool for the kids yesterday. I painted it blue and then had them put their handprints on it with different color paints. Lulu was not easy to do and he put up quite a fight. lol He wanted to eat the paint....figures.
Around the edge i stamped the song you are my sunshine. I sing that to the kids and chris all the time. It's good for making chris' get all faklempt. I also stamped hearts, love and big gold sun. :) When i'm finished i will try to remember to post a pic.
I made it so that portia and jewel can reach the dishes in the cabinets. And i'm sure it will be used to get into things that are supposed to be off limits. That's the way things work in this house of little horned gnomes. My sneaky little nose miner's will even deny that they were not doing it while they are caught in the act. I'm sure this means that they will all be government officials when they grow up. lol Talent like that usually ends up working for "the man". ha ha okay enough of conspiracy sister. :)
Oh and as if we didn't have enough animals we think our cat diana is pregnant. oy vey
My mom brought this cat from corpus and left it here for the kids. When jewel was visiting with her she found it at my uncles apartment complex. It had been living with my parents but my mom thought we would just love to have it. We love our kitties but geesh we don't need a whole new litter...........anyone want a kitten?
Diana is a great cat she is so smart and loveable. She will meow when she wants more food, she should be in a commercial. ;) And she loves to come and jump in bed with us. One night she even slept in lulu's bed with him, it was so stinking cute. Just the other day lulu went down for a nap and i decided to lay down next to him and catch a rest. Well she came in the room and squeezed her furry round butt in between us and layed halfway across my back. awwww, I love that kitty.
And she loves the budgies. One day i caught her climbing all over the top of the cage trying to get a better look at them. lol the birds were freaking out! they put up with a lot. lulu likes to bang the cage and we are constantly trying to re-direct his attention with toys. He also likes to pet the cat, but sometimes he mistakes her for the birdcage and bangs on her head. She will nip at him to get him to stop, but he just laughs and keeps on banging. When she has had enough she will run upstairs, smart kitty. Now he has little scratch marks all over both arms, but cabeza del palo, he keeps going back for more.
She loves to drink out of the fountain on the bar in the kitchen. Must be something about the running water makes her think it is fresh or something. Ugh and today i asked portia to take the litter box out back before she scooped, cause when she scoops inside it takes forever for the smell to go away. And diana is one poopie cat! Well i just happened to look outside to check on her and there she was chucking turd bombs over her shoulder into the yard.
She forgot to take a bag with her to put the poop into and decided it was easier to sling it into the yard. So now i will have to call her the shit slinger, fastest scoop in the south!
gosh i love my kids they are crazier than me.............and that's fucking nuts!!

I have been so busy lately i don't know whether to wind my butt or scratch my watch! I have made a ton of things to try and help my mom raise money to pay off some bills. That and keeping up with the kids and the housework has been hard. We have also had some things happen lately that are just fucked up.
Last Friday marina was driving my mom's truck and she crashed into the garage door. Then the following week our power in half the house pooped out. We called out the electric company and they told us that a hot wire underground had burned out and would need to be replaced. That set us back a huge chunk of change. And we had to be without power in half the house for a few days.
No a/c, dishwasher, dryer, some lights and electrical outlets. grrrr And it was flipping hot! So we bought a window unit and all hung out downstairs to try and stay cool. The day the electricians fixed the wire a cold front blew in.........figures.
So now we have a window unit to keep around in case something like this happens again. And a new monthly payment cause we financed the whole thing. ugh We were hoping to go to kansas city in june for Chris' cousin jessi's wedding, but who knows now.
The good thing is this should hold up for a long time and the a/c is brand new cause we just replaced it this summer. And we had also replaced our washer and dryer cause the old ones pooped out.
I also acquired some new old sewing machines recently. My first one was an antique Singer 128-13. It is beautiful and has a bentwood cabinet. It was made in 1937. I'm trying to sell it already cause it is not exactly what i wanted. It will only do a straight stitch and i wanted more than that.
I listed it on ebay and sold it for $200 but don't ya know the loser who bid on it hasn't paid for it yet and that was 2 weeks ago. bah I also got 2 Singer 401A's one is in a cabinet with a stool. I love these machines!! They do a lot of stitches and came with some extra cams. The second one came with an original owners manual. They were made in the early 60's and were the second to last machines that singer made that were all metal.
I want a Singer 500 cause it is the last of the machines that were all metal and all gear driven. I love the design it is nicknamed the rocketeer. But i think i will wait a while before i buy anymore.
That is what i have been doing today. I cleaned and oiled one and the other is on my table with the top off. I will probably wait and clean/oil it tomorrow. I will probably give one to my mom for mothers day. They are all metal and there are no belts. They are all gear driven and purr like kittens. They also go through thick fabrics like a not knife through butter. good times ahhh.
There are pictures in my photobucket album, my finished projects link.
My back is still shot even after physical therapy and my doctor is super slow when it comes to prescribing pain medication. My physical therapist said she wants me to wean off of them, but hell if they help with the pain she can kiss my patootie!
she is more than willing to prescribe truckloads of muscle relaxants, which i hate, but not pain killers. the muscle relaxants do exactly that and i end up like a pile of jello, can't take care of kids in that condition.
jewel had her birthday and we got her two budgies. they are so cute they have bonded very well and preen each other a lot. i love to sit and watch them love on each other. She has named them blue sky and sunflower. I call them roni and chris cause the male is very laid back and soft spoken he chirps quietly. the female sqwauks loudly and flies around like crazy. She seems very demanding, lol.
Portia's birthday is coming up and she wants a turtle. chris says our house is like a zoo with all the animals and craziness. lol We now have 2 cats, 2 birds, a hamster, 4 kids, 2 parents and a partridge in a pair tree. hee hee hee
but everything is good, we are all healthy and happy even if our house always looks like a tornado ripped through it.
lucien is talking all the time and has recently learned to say bye bye and wave at the same time. if he hears the keys jingle he starts right up with the bye bye and walks to the front door waving. it is sooo stinking cute. he also loves to growl, i think he likes the sound it makes.
chris received an offer from another company but unfortunately it was not enough to leave symantec. hopefully they will up the offer if not it will be their loss. :)
