Morton Ranch Cheerleaders Hazing

i'm not surprised by this outcome but i am definitely sad and pissed off at the legal system for allowing these girls to get off so easily.

Ex-cheerleaders reach deal

these girls attend the same high school with my oldest child. one of them is the valedictorian! they are old enough to know better and should have used better judgement to begin with, not after the fact. if they had not gotten caught they would not have changed anything about their behavior. i don't think that the "punishment" they have received will make a difference in the long run.

hazing is assault in the most horrible form. this is just another form of bullying. i am higher up in the ranks and i am going to remind you of that by humiliating you and treating you like total shit! one of the girls actually took a shit in her own underwear and then placed it on the head of one of the jv girls before shoving them into the pool. they were also flicking the younger girls breasts.

if i were the parents i would be so totally ashamed. what kind of examples are being set at home when these kids think it is okay to behave this way? i hope that none of my kids ever feels the desperate need to fit in that would allow someone else to treat them this way. and if any of my kids ever behaved this way i would be the first in line to say that they deserved a punishment that fit the crime. not a slap on the wrist.

why is it that these "pranksters" are only punished when someone is seriously injured or killed? why does it have to go that far before we follow through with a proper punishment?

if i did this to you wouldn't you want me to be charged with attempted murder? assault? the legal system and katyisd have dropped the ball. i wouldn't be surprised to read another story like this again next summer. *sigh*
